Have you seen the CrazySexyCool that is aired on VH1 October 21th? Be honest, it is middling as art, but as propaganda it is very effective, which can explain why I have been singing “ No Scrubs” nonstop after watching it. As the new biopic about the great ‘90s hip-hop/R&B outfit TLC, CrazySexyCool perfectly finished its task: absolutely convince you that TLC was amzing.
TLC CrazySexyCool, the VH1 movie is about the Crazy Lisa “Left Eye” Lope, sexy Thomas and e cool Watkins. Though the movie is not particularly well-constructed, even hopping from moment to moment, you will still love it because it hits all the major and minor plot points.
I was impressed by the video “what About Your Friends”. It opens with a fashion show which is stopped by a “Not” flashed on the screen and T-Boz, Left Eye and Chilli shows up in the self-appointed opposition. Their oversized clothes and goofy hats are enough to challenge models. And Left Eye’s glasses are really a blockbuster: this pair vintage style glasses is common, what makes it eye-catching is the condom taped on the left lens. The bold design on the traditional vintage metal glasses does make a strong visual impact, right? I love girls of this kind: crazy, sexy and cool. How about you?
