Meryl Streep was seen at the premiere of August: Osage County premiere wearing a striped black and white dress with black tights and shoes. She also wore reading glasses for women. She was out and about in the French capital on Thursday, wearing prescription glasses. Her metal glasses gave her a serious and mature look. The film is based on a play by Tracy Letts. The director John Wells also joined her later. Both Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts are nominated for their roles in the movie in which they play mother and daughter.
Earlier in the week Julia had skipped the Academy Awards Luncheon in Beverley Hills. This was due to the untimely death of her half-sister Nancy Motes who may have died of a drug overdose or a suicide. On the other hand, Julia Roberts last made a public appearance in February, when she wore a pale pink coat over a black outfit.
A number of celebrities were present at the premiere of August: Osage County including Leonardo Dicaprio and Sandra Bullock. Meryl Streep looked quite relaxed and poised on the red carpet as she shared a joke with director John Wells. She did a very good job of promoting the film and having a successful premiere, wearing fashionable glasses with thin glasses frames.
